A large focus is on Taiwan’s semiconductor industry.
U.S. Representatives Ro Khanna of California, Tony Gonzales of Texas, Jake Auchincloss of Massachusetts, and Jonathan Jackson of Illinois arrived Sunday in Taiwan to reaffirm the U.S. commitment to the island nation.
The primary focus of the group is on the competition with China, particularly in the semiconductor chip manufacturing industry of Taiwan.
Representative Khanna said, “Our efforts to come here are in no way provocative of China, but consistent with the president’s foreign policy that recognizes the importance of the relationship like Taiwan, while still seeking ultimately peace in the region.”
Representatives Khanna and Auchincloss are both members of the new House select committee that is focused on competition with China.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the members of the delegation as they work to ensure semiconductor availability.
- For representatives in the House as they seek to increase competition and strengthen the technology supply chain.
- For wisdom for House Speaker McCarthy as he leads the lower chamber.
